Care Guide
🌞 Light:
- Prefers full sun, but tolerates partial shade.
🌱 Soil:
- Well-drained soil, moderately fertile.
- Avoid waterlogged areas as the corms may rot.
💧 Watering:
- Moderate watering, especially during dry spells.
- Once established, it is fairly drought-tolerant.
🌸 Maintenance:
- Remove faded flowers to encourage prolonged blooming.
- Cut back foliage in late autumn after it dies down.
- In colder climates, mulch heavily in winter to protect the corms.
🌿 Propagation:
- Lift and divide clumps every 2–3 years in spring to prevent overcrowding.
⚠️ Note:
- In some regions (like the UK, New Zealand, and parts of the US), Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora can spread aggressively and is considered invasive.
